PRESS RELEASES
The company elected officers for its board of trustees for the 2025–2026 fiscal year and welcomes eight trustees and seven Cincinnati Opera Board Associates.
Highlights of the season include the world premiere of Lalovavi, Strauss’s scandalous masterpiece Salome, Bizet’s beloved Carmen, Ricky Ian Gordon’s hauntingly beautiful Orpheus and Euridice, and the return of Studio Sessions.
Presented in partnership with local congregations, performances take place June 3, 4, and 5, blending opera, gospel, and jazz to create an inspiring celebration of music and community.
The artist-curated, cabaret-style performance series runs June 17–July 17 and features a diverse array of music—from opera to jazz to popular song and more—in Music Hall’s intimate Wilks Studio.
The gift enables the continuation of the company’s acclaimed partnership with the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music that nurtures the development of new American operas.
