Princess Turandot is famous for her beauty and infamous for the body count of her failed suitors. When Calàf risks everything for a chance to win her heart, he must solve three impossible riddles—all while keeping his own identity as an exiled prince a secret. As Peking loses sleep and Puccini's score builds toward one of opera's most iconic arias, love and pride collide in a finale that answers riddles of its own. Will love thaw the ice princess, or will Calàf pay the ultimate price?

Giacomo Puccini
Giacomo Puccini was an Italian opera composer who started the operatic trend toward realism with popular works such as La Bohème and Madame Butterfly. He has been called “the greatest composer of Italian opera after Verdi.”
