After 2025’s sold-out performance of Soul & Sound at Studio Sessions, we welcome back poet and host Tifara Brown and pianist Kevin Miller, along with other members of the Lalovavi creative team, pianist Donald Lee III, and countertenor G. Thomas Allen. Expect an invigorating evening of music drawn from the vast array of Black American musical traditions.

Following his 2025 starring role as Cavaradossi in Tosca, and, in anticipation of his appearance as this season’s Don José in Carmen, tenor Matthew White takes to the cabaret stage for his first solo recital ever (!). Expect an enthralling evening of music—from opera arias to Appalachian folk tunes—along with Cincinnati Opera’s Head of Music Staff, pianist James Maverick.
