Welcome to Cincinnati Opera Young Professionals season kickoff event! Join other young professionals and arts lovers to celebrate Cincinnati Opera’s 2023 Summer Festival, like a diva—with drinks, delectables, dazzling diamonds, and opera arias.
What is a diva? Originally, ‘diva’ was derived from the latin word for ‘goddess’ and was used to describe a female opera singer. It has a historic connotation of arrogance, but is being reclaimed by divas of today, like Beyonce and Dolly Parton, as a term of self-celebration. Divas today are, well, you—someone who celebrates their own style, chooses their own path, and uses what they have to make the most of life.
