This unique panel discussion centered on Cincinnati Opera’s groundbreaking new production of Madame Butterfly, through the lens of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. The panel consisted of the all-Japanese and Japanese American creative team for Madame Butterfly, and focused on their personal journeys and the value of telling Butterfly’s story in a brand-new way. Moderated by Cincinnati Opera’s Director of Production Lyla Forlani, this event was presented by Cincinnati Opera Young Professionals, a group of young opera fans.
