Hadrian's relationship with Antinous, a young man in his entourage, was frowned upon by many in his inner circle.
Cincinnati Opera and CCM Opera's joint Opera Fusion: New Works program presents excerpts from Hadrian, a new opera composed by American-Candian singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright. Set at the end of the classical era, Hadrian tells the story of the Roman emperor Hadrian (76-138 AD) and his love affair with Antinous.
