CINCINNATI OPERA PRESENTS THE 2012 OPERA GALA
“A HOT NIGHT IN CHARLESTON”
SATURDAY, APRIL 28
This event at the Grand Ballroom of the Duke Energy Center
will feature dinner, dancing, and musical entertainment throughout the night.
CINCINNATI — On Saturday, April 28, Cincinnati Opera will present its 2012 Opera Gala, “A Hot Night in Charleston,” a Southern-themed event inspired by the company’s first-ever production of the Gershwins’ opera Porgy and Bess in June 2012.
The evening at the Grand Ballroom of the Duke Energy Convention Center will begin with cocktails with a Southern flavor, followed by delicious Southern cuisine and performances by soprano Adrienne Danrich, tenor Everett McCorvey, and baritone Michael Preacely, The Faux Frenchmen, The Wannabees, and MUSE Women’s Choir. After dinner, guests will ignite the dance floor at “Late Night in Charleston,” the official after-party of the 2012 Gala. At the gala, longtime Opera supporters Barbara and Jack Hahn and Joanie and Bill Lotts will be honored for their years of inspiring service.
All proceeds from the evening benefit Cincinnati Opera. For more information, visit www.cincinnatiopera.org.
