Meet the Cast of Porgy and Bess

This two-part event will begin with a fascinating talk by Evans Mirageas, The Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director of Cincinnati Opera, on how George Gershwin’s masterpiece Porgy and Bess made its way to the stage. Then, Evans will lead a panel discussion featuring members of the cast and creative team from Cincinnati Opera’s 2012 production of Porgy and Bess. Panel members include Jonathan Lemalu (Porgy), Gordon Hawkins (Crown), Steven Cole (Sporting Life), Jacqueline Echols (Clara), Adrienne Danrich (Serena), Taylor Johnson (Strawberry Woman), Everett McCorvey (Peter), conductor David Charles Abell, and stage director Lemuel Wade.
