­The compositions of Richard Wagner have generated an enthusiastic following around the world, and under the leadership of General Director Speight Jenkins, Seattle Opera has become a major artistic center for Wagner’s music. The company has produced all ten of the composer’s major operas—including two very different productions o­f his epic Ring cycle. To accompany Cincinnati Opera’s production of Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg in June, Jenkins will discuss the work of this storied artist.
